About
What this site is
Bottled Hope rates the evidence behind claims made about dietary supplements. For each supplement we list the specific claims commonly made about it, rate the evidence for each claim separately, and link to the sources those ratings come from.
Who maintains it
Bottled Hope is published by SK102 LLC and maintained by a software developer, not a physician, pharmacist, or registered dietitian.
That shapes everything here. We do not form our own medical conclusions, and we do not offer personal advice. Our role is to curate: to find what systematic reviews and recognized health authorities have already concluded, summarize it in plain language, and link directly to the original sources so you can read them yourself.
Where qualified experts have not reached a conclusion, we say so rather than filling the gap with our own judgment.
Pages are researched and drafted with the help of AI tools, and every page is approved by the maintainer before it is published. The methodology page explains exactly how.
bottledhope.co was designed and built by SK102, a Guam-based software development consultancy.
How we work
Our full method is documented publicly on the methodology page, including our rating scale, what counts as a source, and how we handle disagreement between reviews.
Two commitments are worth stating here:
- Safety information appears before evidence ratings on every supplement page.
- Every rating is tied to cited sources, linked so you can check them yourself. The rating rules on the methodology page are checked automatically every time the site is built, and a page that breaks one cannot be published. Software can check the rules, but not whether a source was read correctly. That is why every source is linked.
How this site is funded
This site does not currently carry advertising. We expect to introduce it once the site is established, and it will be funded that way rather than by selling supplements. We do not sell supplements, use affiliate links, or accept payment from supplement manufacturers. Advertisers will have no influence over our ratings, our summaries, or which supplements we cover, and ads will never appear inside or next to a safety section or an evidence rating.
